Ingredients

  • 6 tbsp oil
  • ½ tsp cumin seeds
  • ½ tsp Asafoetida
  • ½ tsp turmeric
  • 2 large onions, diced
  • 4 bay leaves
  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 cup soybeans – soak in 1 cup water for 5 minutes
  • 1 cup water (for soaking soybeans)
  • 1 cup green peas
  • 2 large potatoes, cut into 1-inch slices
  • 1 tsp chicken masala
  • 3 tbsp goda masala (blended cinnamon, cloves, and coriander seeds)
  • 3 cups rice
  • 6-7 cups water
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp ghee
